What this quote means is that if you don't know were to go you are not going far.You need to know were to go if you don't know don't thick of being success on life.Get to know the goalposts are to be success on your life.Do not be like the other people.be like you are be a successful person. This also can mean that if you don't have your life planned out and don't know what your goals are then you wont get far in life. In order to get far in life you need to have goals planned out for you. If you don't then you wont get very far in life. In the quote it mentions the goalpost so football players know where they are aiming for and where to go. Our goals in life are like goalposts that lead us in the directions we need to go. If you want to be a doctor that is your goal and you can set that as your main goal and work hard everyday to be able to achieve it. An example to get all your goals and accomplish them is by having a life planning book to achieve all the goals you always wanted to have or do.
