what this quote means is the the key to freedom is obedience. You always have to listen to others and respect others. Because when you choose the right you will have freedom later on. For example if you want to go play outside and you know you have to do your chores first and you do them, that's showing you have Obedience. An example on non obedience is that you don't do you chores or you homework you will not get freedom and that's non obedience. So when you show obedience you will have freedom and do what ever you want to do but then you don't show obedience you will not have freedom.
